Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a gentle, person-centered directive method of communication for enhancing intrinsic motivation to change by exploring and resolving ambivalence. Parents will learn methods that can enhance communication with their teenagers and learn ways to increase their child's intrinsic motivation to create positive changes in their own life.
